Babat who Anadolu Agency News mentioned as a PKK warrior turned out to be a shephard
ŞIRNAK- Brother of Kokel Babat who was shot and still is in the intensive care reacted to Anadolu Agency who wrote about his brother as a PKK warrior : "They know he is a peasant. He was anarmed. He was a shephard."
Kokel Babat, father of 3 children, was injured by the commence fire of the soldiars and the rangers on October 23. He is still in treatment in Şırnak State Hospital.
Babat has 3 children aged 10,8 and 3. Despite the authorities haven't made a official statement about his situation, AA (Anadolu Agency) have wrote about him as a PKK warrior.
In the article AA wrote, he was mentioned as a PKK warrior who shot the ranger Mehmet Paksoy the previous year and was shot while he tried to escape.
'THEY KNOW HE IS A PEASANT'
Brother Tamer Babat said that they , as a familty was not notified when his brother was shut, said : "They told us he was dead. If we hadn't heard about him it would be an unsolved murder. They know he is a peasant. They know his family. They know he is not a member of an organisation. He was anarmed. He was a shephard.My brother did not die. My son who also is a shephard have seen him. He have seen him shot! He was wounded and he was losing blood."
