NEWS CENTER - The trial of journalist Süleyman Ahmet, who has not been heard from for 279 days, has begun.

 

The trial of Rojnews Arabic editor Süleyman Ahmet, who has not been heard from for 279 days after being detained by the KUrdistan Democratic Party (KDP) security forces, has begun at the Duhok 1st High Criminal Court.

 

Ahmet is being tried under Article 1 of Law No. 21 of 2003, which regulates the charge of “disturbing the security of the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdistan Region Parliament.”
